For over 20 years, local cycling enthusiasts have gathered in early spring to race the annual Wichita River Festival Criterium. Over the years, there have been several local and regional cyclists who have gone on to win National and even World titles. In the spring of 2005, the criterium will be relocated to downtown Wichita. Last year an estimated 80,000 people attended the festival events in the downtown area on the first Sunday of the festival, and this year they are going to witness criterium racing, a fast paced cycling event that is commonly refered to as "NASCAR on two wheels!"
This event will be one of the most colorful and exciting events on the calendar for the 2005 Wichita River Festival. Don't miss out on this opportunity to be a part of this great event as some of the finest cyclists from around the United States will be vying for the top spot on the podium.
Family Fun
Bring the whole family to enjoy watching the pros race and the kids will get the chance to enjoy some cycling too. The kids activities will give children the opportunity to race as well as learn about bicycling safety. It shold be fun to watch and a great experience for the whole family.
